Well I guess if you were a true capitalist you would be happy to hear Chinese consumers purchased more cars than any other country. You would think it is exciting to hear 13.5 million cars were sold to consumers and now they can build the infrastructure of gas station, more highways and etc…buying more goods and services from the rest of the world. Of course if you are an environmentalist you need to think about the ecological footprint this will all bring to the issues like global warming. Out biggest challenges in the next ten years is how we can pull back our use of commodities and still keep the standard of living everyone seem to become accustomed too….and how we allow developing economies to grow. I am not sure the planet can allow all of us to have a car so maybe we start to need to think about leap frogging technology to whatever will give the inhabitants of the planet the mobility they want and a small carbon footprint.
